I'm going Beijing for the third time in my life this coming Dec

At the travel agency, my dad told me mum
"Its not going to be very cold, unless the wind sets in. When you see snow, it means the weather is not cold enough thats why there's snow. Anything below 0(C) prevents snow formation."

My mum turned to me and muttered
"That's because your dad is not afraid of cold weather."

My head did a double rewind and stopped at the age of 15, when my dad dragged our whole family out on the streets of Korea in the March weather holding a thermocalculator at past 10pm. Finally, after our shivers he chuckles and says "It is 0(C)..cold eh."

Alright mum..I won't even mention our last trip to Chengdu, also in March where my dad says the temp would hover 10+. Right.Up Mount Emei, we saw sheets of white and the bus had to use chains to prevent the wheels from slipping in the wet and cold weather.

Did I also tell you....never mind. I gather you understand the father's misintepretation of cold ALL the time.

Anyway, I checked up the temp for Beijing in Dec..the range goes from 3 to -7. Great weather..I get to wear a big fat winter coat, provided it warms me enough to not die first.

Called my dear mother up first and she was so depressed..I swear some anxiety and angst set in..wonder why.
