Its tough to run your own business
I hear many people say
There are many tedious admin matters which I really do hate, I admit
But it is not hard like what a lot of people say
True, mine is a small scale
But,I started out somewhere and I definitely know a bit more than you who say
Weekdays are pretty quiet at The Cathay
But we get by, of course, its still to early to gauge
If our product range gets well received, we may consider setting the boutique elsewhere
Some executives came by and took a dress priced at $48 and said
"This is expensive"
I thought to myself, how can that be expensive for a dress? I pay $59 and think its reasonable
What then is reasonable to them?
If I were to pay $15 for a dress, which I did for an OP summer dress,
I never wore it again, somehow, I felt that I bought it because it was cheap and I didn't really like it
Which is why Singaporeans always ask for discounts and get attracted to sales
We are such whores for value for money buys
Never mind the fact that you have perhaps 50bras sitting in the cupboard and you can only wear 2? a day
Never mind the fact that you have an exploding shoe cabinet, because it says "Sale"
Therefore, we can build a bigger cabinet
Hmm,
Oh, and if the dress if cheap to you, then clearly you don't know what is style
I would never bargain down for a marc jacobs item
Unless it is on discount already
Typical Singaporean
I came across a blog some time ago
it says, I'm the happiest thing that happened to someone
It shouted something to me
but I had nothing to say
Its sad really, when the person is just another person that has walked past me in my life
But I am something happy to the person
you know what,
the fact that I mean something to some people makes me happy already
It has proven my existence and the meaning of life
